Sidewalks & Walkways in Missouri
Walkways look simple and are unforgiving. They're narrow, people look straight down at them, and any dip or lip shows immediately — and becomes a trip hazard.
Level, jointed, and edged
Sidewalks get the same base prep as bigger flatwork, with joints spaced so the slab cracks where it's supposed to. Edges are tooled clean and transitions to the drive or the porch are brought flush so there's no lip to catch a toe.
Grades and accessibility
Where a walk needs to meet accessibility grades, it gets formed to those grades rather than following the existing ground. That has to be planned before the forms go in.
Replacing failed sections
You don't always need the whole walk replaced. Individual panels that have heaved or settled can be cut out and repoured to match, which is usually the cheaper honest answer.

Answers before you call.
Can you replace just the cracked section of sidewalk?
Often yes — sections are cut at the joints and repoured. If the base under the whole run has failed, replacing panel by panel just moves the problem, and we'll say so.
