Stamped Concrete · Serving Missouri

Stamped Concrete in Missouri

Stamped concrete gives you the look of stone, slate, or brick in a single poured slab — no individual pavers to settle unevenly or grow weeds between the joints.

How it's done

Color is added either through the mix or as a hardener on the surface, a release agent keeps the stamps from sticking, and the pattern is pressed while the concrete is still workable. Timing is the whole job — stamp too early and the impression closes back up, too late and it won't take. After curing it gets cleaned and sealed.

Where it works best

Patios, walkways, front entries, and pool decks. Anywhere the surface is visible and you want it to look like more than a plain slab.

Upkeep

Sealer is what keeps the color from fading and keeps water out of the surface. Plan on resealing every few years depending on sun and traffic. That's the main difference in maintenance versus a plain broom finish.

Common Questions

Answers before you call.

Does stamped concrete get slippery?

It can, especially when wet or around a pool. A non-slip additive can be mixed into the sealer to cut that down — worth asking for on pool decks and steps.

How much more does stamped concrete cost than plain?

It costs more than a broom finish because of the color, release, stamping labor, and sealing. The exact difference depends on pattern and color count. You'll get both numbers so you can compare.
